Documents required a) Passport of both parties (first three pages including Office stamp affixed by Mauritius Immigration Office (2 copies); b) Birth certificates (duly translated in English/French) issued within the last 3 months; c) Any other documents relating to divorce, widow/widower or change of name; d) Valid residence or work permits; and e) Coversheet (available in Office) stating the intention to marry in Mauritius 2. You should note that if you are French citizens, you need to contact the French embassy in Mauritius concerning other formalities on telephone number:(230) 202 0100. Certificat de capacité de mariage (CCAM) is required before application. 3. You will be contacted by this Office to collect a letter at the Central Civil Status Office authorising you to proceed with the publication of marriage banns after it has been processed. 4. The intending spouses should call in person at the Central Civil Status Office along with all relevant documents in original for the publication of marriage banns. (issued within the last three months). They will be required to fill the coversheet in person. 5. The marriage can be celebrated in the Office, marriage hall, hotels or in any private/non-private premises by a Civil Status Officer after 10 days of publication. 6. As regards fees for wedding held in the Office, no payment is required. If it is celebrated in hotels or any private/non-private premises a payment of Rs 5,000 should be made. 7.
